About the course

Level 2 course is a wide overview of the global wine industry where you will taste different wines from all over the world and develop not only your knowledge, also your senses through crossed tasting.

You will discover the wine regions of all continents, including the most recent new countries and their major grapes

Entry requirements

To be admitted to a level 2 course you have to successfully complete level 1.

The Course Organization

The Eurosommelier Level 3 Award in Wines consists of 30 hours of study, including 18 hours of course by one of our Eurosommelier certified educators. The program takes place over 3 consecutive days, with classes from 9 am to 5 pm with lunch breaks, study time and exam included.

With 6 hours of course each day, the class will use presentations, discussions and tastings to tackle the key points presented in the teaching material. During the course, you will taste 44 wines from the main wine-producing regions of France, Europe and the New World.

Sessions are limited to 14 students.

The Teaching Resources

Once your registration for a session is validated, you’ll receive your course material, containing a textbook, study guide, self-assessment exercises, and summary sheet of the European School for Sommeliers. The program includes presentations, discussions and visual aids, as well as guided tastings and self-assessment exercises. The educator will answer your questions and encourage dynamic and interactive exchanges.

Evaluation And Certification
of Eurosommelier

Evaluation And Certification

The exam takes place during the last hour of the course. To obtain your certification, you must answer 55% of the 50 multiple-choice questions correctly. You will receive your result by email about 8 weeks after your exam date. Your certificate and pin will then be mailed to you. You can resit the exam if you do not pass for a fee of 80 euros.

Terms & Conditions

  • The registration is binding and the costs will not be reimbursed.
  • Paid card membership (84,00€) for the current year is obligatory in order to participate in the course.
  • Payments: At the registration, to reserve your place: 384,00 €
(84,00€ membership card (if not acquired yet) and
300,00€ down payment Course fee) with last payment 549,00€  5 days before the first lesson.
    Minimum age: 18 year at the start of the course.
